Cleaning documents with the Kotlin Multiplatform Document Scanner SDK

Overview

Document Cleanup lets the end user erase unwanted artifacts from a scanned page while preserving the underlying document content. Artifacts include handwriting, stamps, stains, fingers, shadows, and other distracting elements. The user paints over the regions to remove. The SDK then reconstructs a clean result image, with optional text preservation.

The standalone Cleanup Screen is presented with ScanbotSDK.documentEnhancer.startDocumentCleanupScreen and configured through DocumentCleanupStandaloneConfiguration. It operates on a page of a DocumentData, so add your image to a document first and pass the document and page UUIDs to the configuration. On success, the result callback returns the updated DocumentData.
