Cleaning up documents with the .NET MAUI Document Scanner

Document Cleanup lets the end user erase unwanted artifacts from a scanned page while preserving the underlying document content. Artifacts include handwriting, stamps, stains, fingers, shadows, and other distracting elements. The user paints over the regions to remove. The SDK then reconstructs a clean result image, with optional text preservation.

Configuration options​

The DocumentCleanupStandaloneConfiguration class lets you customize the appearance and behavior of the Document Cleanup Screen, including UI colors, texts, and cleanup-related options. You can learn more about DocumentCleanupStandaloneConfiguration in the SDK's API documentation.

Cleanup result​

Once the cleanup is complete, the Document Cleanup Screen returns an updated IScannedDocument object.
